About the Role
Tech Rajshahi is looking for a Video Editor who understands the art of the "hook." We don't just need someone who can cut footage; we need someone who can keep a viewer watching for the entire 60 seconds (or 10 minutes). You will be editing short-form content (Reels/TikToks) and long-form videos for North American and European clients, ensuring every second adds value.
Key Responsibilities
High-Retention Editing: Edit fast-paced social media videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) designed to maximize watch time and engagement.
Dynamic Visuals: Add engaging text overlays, motion graphics, and B-roll that match the "Western" editing style (e.g., Alex Hormozi style captions, dynamic zooming).
Audio Mastery: precise sound design—choosing the right trending audio, adding sound effects (whooshes, pops, clicks) to emphasize points, and cleaning up dialogue.
Storytelling: Turn raw footage into a coherent narrative. You must understand which parts of a clip are boring and need to be cut.
Platform Optimization: formatting videos correctly for different platforms (9:16 for mobile, 16:9 for YouTube).
Requirements
Software Proficiency: Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. (DaVinci Resolve is a plus).
Western Editing Style: You must be familiar with the editing styles popular in the US/UK. You understand pacing, meme insertion, and cultural references.
English Comprehension: You must understand English fluently to know exactly where to cut a sentence for comedic or dramatic effect.
Tech-Savvy: You know how to find high-quality stock footage and copyright-free music quickly.
Office Availability: Must be willing to work from our office in Rajshahi.
